The 25UM58-P Ultrawide Monitor from LG is a gamer and graphic designers dream. It is a 25 inch, IPS monitor, which means ‘In Plane Switching’, and being an IPS monitor, it is a great improvement over monitors with TN technology.
Basic features include a picture mode, reader mode, picture in picture (PIP), flicker safe, smart energy saving, super resolution 4 screen split and on screen controls.
Not only is your viewing area expansive with 25 inches of prime display real estate, but with Screen Split 2.0 feature, LG designers have given you the option to customize your screen choosing one of 14 different configurations.
One of the configuration is a PIP or ‘picture in picture’ layouts, which makes thie 25UM58-P an excellent choice for gamers who do walk through videos.
Serious graphic designers will most definietly appreciate the 99 percent sRGB space and its accurate screen color ability. The 25UM58-P has a Kensington lock security system located at the back of the monitor for added security.
Resolution and Response Time
Gamers and graphic designers require excellence in resolution and speed, and the LG 25UM58-P has got what it takes, and delivers.
This monitor, with IPS display has an UltraWide 2560 x 1080, full HD resolution which is great for grabbing minute details and emitting vibrant color, just the thing for serious RPG gameplay. Game designers will find that this feature makes working with game engines such as UE4, much easier as well.
The LG 25UM58-P also has a 21:9 aspect ratio. The 21:9 aspect ratio is designed to create an immersive environment for both playing games as well as watching your favorite videos. Split Screen 2.0
This is a huge selling point for this monitor, the Split Screen 2.0 feature. This allows you to be able to use your monitor for multi-tasking, which means you can now show several windows at one time.
There are a total of 14 options, four of which are PIP, or picture-in-picture choices. This feature might work very well for gamers who record video game walkthroughs for Youtube.

With the 25UM58-P you can set your game mode in order to get the most out of your game play. There are 3 gameplay modes available: First Person Shooter Mode 1 optimizes the monitor for FPS gameplay; First Person Shooter Mode 2 uses a higher Black Stabilizer level, and is used for darker games, such as horror games; Real Time Strategy Game (RTS).
The 25UM58-P also offers a custom game mode setting, where gamers can customize game elements and options to their liking. Black Stabilizer is a feature developed by LG to uncover much needed detail in the darker areas of your game.
The Dynamic Action Sync is another feature developed by LG to provide the player with consistent, smooth game play.

As shown in our LG 25UM58-P review, this is a fantastic monitor for gaming, graphic design or watching videos. It has an IPS-LCD screen with a 2560 x 1080 resolution, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and stand angle adjustment from -5 to + 20 degrees.
